EMS (Energy Management System, Energy Management System) is an important
core component of the whole system. EMS accepts the related battery information
fed back by BMS, conducts timely analysis and judgment, and feeds the analyzed
control information back to BMS to control the system strategy. The control
strategy of EMS plays an important role in the decay rate and cycle life of the
battery system. The longer the cycle life of the system, the greater the
economic benefits will naturally be brought. At the same time, the abnormal
information of the battery fed back by BMS will be judged and controlled in
time, and the abnormal battery will be cut off and controlled in time to protect
the entire energy storage system. It plays a key role in the safety of the
entire energy storage system.
PCS (energy storage converter, Power Control System), also known as two-way
energy storage inverter, can control the charging and discharging process of the
battery, AC and DC transformation, and can directly supply AC load in the case
of no grid. PCS is composed of DC/AC bidirectional converter, control unit, etc.
The PCS controller receives the background control instructions through
communication, and controls the converter to charge or discharge the battery
according to the symbol and size of the power instruction, so as to adjust the
active power and reactive power of the power grid. The PCS controller
communicates with the BMS through the CAN interface to obtain the status
information of the battery pack, which can realize the protective charging and
discharging of the battery and ensure the safe operation of the battery.
